New Opportunities with SS Automation

Last week a few members of BRS met with Jim Witmer from SS Automation.  They sell the Universal line of auto apply equipment (like auto applicators).  The universal line is a direct competitor to Auto Labe.  In any event, the Universal rep who’s territory includes the state of TN, retired and Jim’s company now has that area.  He was going to hire a salesman in this area, but a mutal friend and business partner mentioned BRS and our relationship.

The exciting thing is that BRS can provide label stock and ribbon for the existing customers who are using Universal products.  We think that there are over 50 sites in this territory.  Jim Witmer is not interested in selling the labels and ribbon since BRS can handle the support f or the equipment

Just another great opportunity happening at BRS.

Yesterday BRS Presented for the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce Building Blocks event. BRS has a great time presenting, and meeting everyone at the event.

So many professionals posed great questions about social media, how they can use it for their business and how to effectively use it without wasting time. Plus, attendees were able to practice social media with sites like: Ning, LinkedIn, Twitter, and WordPress.

To see more pictures/videos go to: http://chattanoogablocks.ning.com or view Paul or Lynn Monger’s LinkedIn profile.

BRS, Libraries and Singapore

So this year, BRS stumbled across an opportunity to provide solutions for a few local libraries. Not simply with asset tracking methods like barcode scanners/labels but with RFID technology.

Since BRS President Paul Reed, has spoken at as an expert on RFID at numerous events, and BRS as a whole is RFID certified, BRS brings years of knowledge to the table. Needless to say BRS was exited to offer knowledge and potential solutions to the  local libraries.

After much research and a new leading partner called ST LogiTrack. BRS found a full RFID solution for these Libraries with: ST LogiTrack’s ELiMS system.

BRS President heads to Denver

President of BRS,Paul Reed, will travel to the 60th  American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) convention.

After BRS’ work with NTM and Animal Laboratories across the country, BRS decided to take the trip to Dever to mingle with other Research Animal Laboratory facilities and personnell.

Wondering why a barcode company goes to a Lab Animal conference? These attendees use scanners, labels, and software just like Manufacturing facilities or distribution centers….

Well not just like, but they use similar products in a different manner…and no they don’t label the actual rats. But feel free to contact a BRS rep to see what these Labs do use asset tracking equipment for.
